Describe role duties and responsibilities at FWPDAs the Return-to-Work Coordinator, I serve as a liaison between police officers and the Medical Records Unit and am the department’s primary police contact for questions regarding workers’ compensation processes, policies, and benefits. My goal is to inform all officers of their rights and responsibilities regarding workers’ compensation injuries and our department’s policies pertaining to these matters and to assist and support them throughout their recovery processes. I seek to streamline the return-to-work process for officers transitioning from O-days or light-duty statuses to full-duty statuses. As the Wellness Captain, I seek to ensure that all officers know and benefit from our department’s resources that are available to them pertaining to Wellness.
