Racial Profiling
In 2001, the Texas legislature, in an attempt to address the issue of racial profiling in policing, enacted the Texas Racial Profiling Law. Since 2001, the Fort Worth Police Department, in accordance with the law, has collected and reported traffic-related contact data for the purpose of identifying and addressing (if necessary) areas of concern regarding racial profiling practices. During the past legislative session, the Racial Profiling Law was modified and new requirements are now in place.
Please see below for information on how to file a racial profiling complaint, as well as view the Fort Worth Police Department's Racial Profiling Reports dating from 2016 to the most recently available.
