Cold Cases

The Fort Worth Police Department Cold Case Unit exists as part of the main Homicide Unit. One detective is assigned to the Cold Case Unit and investigates “cold” unsolved homicide cases on a full time basis.

1960-1969

Victim: Mildred May
Location: 1000 North Freeway
Report No: 67-A-9

On February 4, 1967, a motorcyclist riding along the Trinity River found the body of Mildred May lying on the side of the levee. It was later determined that she had been strangled. Her co-workers reported that they had last seen her when she left the Matador Club on Camp Bowie the previous night. She did not return to her residence, where she lived with her husband. Her 1959 Pontiac sedan was found at 4500 W. Freeway.

1970-1979

Victim: Brandy Marie St. Romain, 25 year-old white female Location: 5100 Randol Mill Report No: 71-A-91 On August 27, 1971, a construction worker found the body of Brandy St Romain lying in a drainage ditch at 5100 Randol Mill. It was later determined that she died as a result of stab wounds.

Victim: Sheila Gocher, 18 year-old black female Location: Highway 820 and Trinity Blvd Report No: 72-A-1 On January 2, 1972, a person who was walking along Trinity Blvd observed the body of Sheila Gocher lying in a gravel pit. It was later determined that she had been stabbed several times.

Victim: June Ward, 25 years old Location: 1000 W Fuller Report No: 77-A-14 On February 18, 1977, a person walking in the 1000 block of W. Fuller found the body of June Ward lying next to the curb. It was later determined that she had been strangled. Her white Chevrolet Laguna was found at 4800 S. Freeway.

Victim: Ore Lee Prescott, 31 year-old black female Location: 1000 Cobb Park Report No: 77-A-54 On June 4, 1977, the body of Ore Lee Prescott was found lying in a field in Cobb Park. Her car was found at another location in the park. It was later determined that she had been strangled.

Victim: Eleanor Stark, 69 year-old white female Location: 3317 Avenue H Report No: 77-A-83 On August 13, 1977, a neighbor found the body of Eleanor Stark in her residence at 3317 Avenue H. It was apparent that someone had broken into the residence. She died as a result of trauma to the head.

Victim: Lecia McGee, 17 years old Location: 2300 SW Loop Report No: 78018772 On January 22, 1978, Lecia McGee went to visit some friends. She left a few hours later and did not return home. Her family reported her missing. The next day, Lecia’s body was found in her car, which was parked at 2300 S.W. Loop 820. She died as a result of being stabbed several times. She resided a few miles from where she was found.

Victim: Bill Holmes, 29 year-old white male Location: 1000 S Jennings Ave Report No: 78192141 On July 28, 1978, a person who was walking across a field at 1000 S. Jennings found the body of Bill Holmes lying in the field. He died as a result of blunt force trauma. A relative later reported that he had left her house the previous day, and was going to a club named Patches on the south side of Fort Worth.

Victim: Ruth Peters, 76 year-old white female Location: 3732 Winthrop Report No: 79270472 On August 20, 1979, a neighbor went to Ruth Peter’s apartment and found her deceased in the apartment. She died as a result of stab wounds. Ruth Peters lived alone in the apartment.

1980-1989

Victim: Mary Sorola, 37 years old Location: 465 S Main Report No: 80052595 On February 17, 1980, Maria Sorola and her husband were working at Joe and Lupe’s Bar at 465 S. Main Street. Two hispanic males entered the bar, demanded money, and shot Mary Sorola and her husband. Mary Sorola died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Victim: Gloria “Lillie” Hefele, 40 years old Location: 3900 Samson Park Report No: 80064819 Gloria Hefele lived with her husband in Waco, Texas. She left her residence on May 14, 1980, to go to a friend’s house in Fort Worth. Gloria Hefele was found deceased in Buck-Samson Park. She died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Victim: Sylvia Hynes, 27 year-old black female Location: 1700 E Lancaster Ave Report No: 80192785 On June 12, 1980, officers were dispatched to 1800 E. Lancaster Avenue. They found Sylvia Hynes critically injured. An employee from a local company reported the following: an older model, blue-in-color van was traveling westbound at 1700 E. Lancaster Avenue. The front passenger door of the van opened and Sylvia Hynes was apparently pushed out of the vehicle, and fell on to the pavement. The van and its occupants fled the scene. Sylvia Hynes died at the hospital, due to trauma to the head.

Victim: Denise Lynn Hough, 20 year-old white female Location: 3900 Freshfield Road Report No: 80224293 On July 9, 1980, patrol officers were dispatched to 3900 Freshfield Road. They found the body of Denise Hough at the bottom of the ravine. It was later determined that she had been strangled.

Victim: Lorane Larkin, 50 years old Location: 4800 E Berry St Report No: 80327562 Lorane Larkin was reported missing on August 25, 1980. On September 27, 1980, Lorane Larkin was found deceased behind a vacant shopping center at 4800 E. Berry St. She died as a result of blunt force trauma.

Victim: Jerry Goodgion, 30 year-old white male Location: 813 E 9th St Report No: 80411638 On December 7, 1980, officers were dispatched to the King Candy Company, 813 E. 9th Street. An employee had found the body of Jerry Goodgion next to the loading dock. It was later determined that he died as a result of trauma to the head.

Victim: Margaret Maxwell, 27 years old Location: 500 SPUR 280 Report No: 80416182 On December 11, 1980, Margaret Maxwell was found deceased in a ravine that runs parallel to Spur 280, near downtown. It was later determined that she had been strangled.

Victim: Cheryl Lynn Tunnel Springfield Location: 3370 Whittier Report No: 80433227 On Christmas morning, 12/25/1980, Leon Scott Springfield went to the residence of his ex-wife to bring toys for the children. When he entered the residence he found the victim deceased on the living room floor. It was later determined that she had been strangled. A neighbor had seen the victim talking to an unknown male around midnight on Christmas Eve.

Victim: Lester Cole, 72 year-old white male Location: 1815 E Lancaster Ave Report No: 81032984 On January 29, 1981, officers were dispatched to the Flea Market at 1815 E. Lancaster Avenue. The officers found the body of Lester Cole lying in the parking lot, in front of his 1978 Chevrolet El Camino. The investigation showed that Lester Cole worked at the Snack Bar, which was near where his body was found. Lester Cole died as a result of stab wounds.

Victim: George Shelby, 65 year-old American Indian male Location: 1829 S. Jennings Avenue Report No: 81085811 On March 12, 1981, officers went to the residence at 1829 S. Jennings Avenue to check on George Shelby, who lived at the residence by himself. The officers entered the residence and found the body of George Shelby in the residence. It was later determined that he had been strangled.

Victim: Nancy Bay, 23 years old Location: 3200 Lake Como Report No: 81162009 On May 12, 1981, Nancy Bay was found deceased in a field at 3200 Lake Como. She died as a result of a gunshot wound. Nancy Bay worked at the Tempo Club. The investigation revealed that she had left the club and was supposed to go visit a friend.

Victim: Mary Garcia, 43 years old Location: 3528 Stuart Dr Report No: 81392139 On November 14, 1981, the driver of a two-tone Dodge Coronet car struck Mary Garcia’s car and fled the scene. The occupants of the Dodge Coronet car returned to the scene. Some witnesses heard some gunshots. The body of Mary Garcia was found lying in the driveway of the residence at 3528 Stuart Drive. It was determined that she died as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest.

Victim: Michael Morgan, 25 year-old white male Location: 3513 Stanley Report No: 81410007 On November 29, 1981, officers were dispatched to the residence at 3513 Stanley Avenue. They found the body of Michael Morgan lying in the front yard of the residence. A witness reported that Michael Morgan had been talking to another male in the back yard. About ten minutes later, the witness heard some gunshots. Michael Morgan died as a result of gunshot wounds.

Victim: Angela Jones, 17 years old Location: 2100 E. Richmond Ave Report No: 82085416 On March 12, 1982, Angela Jones was found deceased in a creek at 2100 E. Richmond Ave. Her death was ruled a homicide. She died as a result of asphyxiation.

Victim: Thomas Orville Morison, 34 year-old white male Location: 3434 E Lancaster Ave Report No: 82119399 On April 7, 1982, officers were dispatched to the Century Motel at 3434 E. Lancaster Avenue. A housekeeper had entered one of the rooms and found the body of Thomas Morison in the room. It appeared that he struggled with the suspect(s). It was later determined that he had been strangled.

Victim: Julie Fuller, 11 years old Location: 200 Handley-Ederville Rd Report No: 83254209 On June 27, 1983, Julie Fuller was staying with her parents at a motel in the city of Arlington. Julie left the room to take some trash to a dumpster. She did not return to the room. The following day, the body of Julie Fuller was found in a ditch at 200 Handley-Ederville Road in Fort Worth. She had been strangled. Julie Fuller and her parents had recently arrived in the United States from England.

Victim: Karen Creman (27 years old) & Frederick Creman (29 years old) Location: 4825 Mayfair Report No: 83379788 On September 19, 1983, officers were dispatched to the residence at 4825 Mayfair. They entered the residence and found the bodies of Frederick Cremean, and his wife, Karen Cremean. They died as a result of gunshot wounds. They resided at the house at 4825 Mayfair.

Victim: Jesus Nanares, 32 year-old hispanic male Location: 1260 Park Place Report No: 83436783 On October 29, 1983, Jesus Nanares was shot and killed while he sat in his car, which was parked in front of his residence: 1260 Park Place. The suspects were in a white car with what were described as “loud mufflers.”

Victim: Sandra Bush, 21 years old Location: 4800 Decature RD Report No: 84001949 Sandra Bush resided with her parents on Cutler St. in Fort Worth. On November 17, 1983, Sandra Bush left her residence in her car. Sandra Bush did not return to her residence. Her relative reported her missing. On November 18, 1983, her 1979 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was found at the bar located at 25th St and Refugio Ave. On January 2, 1984, two males who were hunting found her body in the 4800 block of Decatur Road in Fort Worth. She had been strangled.	\

Victim: Manuel Vargas Soto, 22 years old Location: 1416 N Main St Report No: 84211918 On June 3rd, 1984, Manuel Soto was inside the bar located at 1416 N. Main Street. While he was sitting next to the bar, a hispanic male approached him and fired a gun. Manuel Soto died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Victim: Catherine Davis, 24 years old Location: 3404 Park Ridge Report No: 84390654 On September 30, 1984, Catherine Davis was reported missing by a friend. Catherine had last been seen two days earlier at her residence on Park Ridge St. Her vehicle had been seen leaving the residence on Park Ridge on the night of September 28, 1984. A fire was discovered in Catherine’s apartment after her vehicle was seen leaving her residence. Her vehicle was found on October 7, 1984, at the West Cliff Manor Apartments, 3400 Dryden. On January 23, 1985, Catherine Davis was found deceased in a field in the southern part of Tarrant County. The investigation revealed that she might have been strangled.

Victim: Marilyn Hartman, 29 years old Location: 20700 Sunday Place Report No: 84419922 On October 19, 1984, some of Marilyn Hartmann’s friends went to her house to visit her. They found Marilyn Hartmann deceased in the house. She had been strangled. She was a teacher at Stripling Middle School.

Victim: Kathryn Jackson, 32 years old Location: 2001 Aden Rd Report No: 84473964 Kathryn Jackson was a school teacher. She did not show up for school the first day after the Thanksgiving break in the year 1984. Some friends went to her apartment. Her car was in the parking lot. They entered the apartment and found Kathryn fatally wounded. She had been strangled.

Victim: Angela Ewert, 21 years old Location: Rural area in south Tarrant County Report No: 84495062 On December 10, 1984, Angela Ewert left her fiancée’s house, en route to her parent’s home. She was last seen purchasing gasoline at a convenience store a short distance from her fiancée’s house. The next morning, her 1984 Mercury Topaz car was found in the 300 block of Southeast Loop 820 in Fort Worth. On August 11, 1993, the remains of Angela Ewert were found in a rural area south of Fort Worth.

Victim: Eddie Sanchez, 38 year-old hispanic male Location: 4300 Brentwood Stair Rd Report No: 84501542 On December 15, 1984, officers were dispatched to 4300 Brentwood Stair Road. They observed the body of Eddie Sanchez lying next to a guard rail at 4300 Brentwood Stair Road. It was later determined that he died as a result of blunt force trauma.

Victim: Lacy Milton Hatchell, 31 years old Location: 4700 Poppy Drive East Report No: 84518942 On December 28, 1984, two persons delivering newspapers found Mr. Hatchell lying on the sidewalk, a few houses away from his residence. He died as a result of a gunshot wound. His vehicle was found about one block away.

Victim: Cindy Heller, 23 years old Location: 3600 Bellaire Dr Report No: 85006264 On October 23, 1984, Cindy Heller left a dance studio and went to a restaurant. She never returned home. Her vehicle was found at the Hunter’s Ridge Apartments, 4850 River Ranch Rd. On January 5, 1985, Cindy Heller was found deceased in a ravine behind the TCU Physical Maintenance Plant. She had been strangled. She lived on Bellaire Dr in Fort Worth.

Victim: Zita Rogers, 70 years-old white female Location: 4300 Carey Report No: 85035596 On January 25, 1985, patrol officers were dispatched to a residence in the 4300 block of Carey. They entered the residence and found Zita Rogers deceased in the residence. She died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Victim: Rodney Rogers, 48 year-old white male Location: 1600 Ballinger Report No: 85420666 On October 6, 1985, officers were dispatched to 1600 Ballinger. The officers observed Rodney Rogers critically injured, lying on a concrete slab. He later died at the hospital, as a result of blunt force injuries. The property at 1600 Ballinger used to be owned by the Marble Product Company. The area where he was found was an abandoned building which was known to be a “hang out” for transients.

Victim: Clyde Bond, 28 year-old black male Location: 1109 S Jennings Ave Report No: 86005510 On January 4, 1986, officers were dispatched to the residence at 1109 S. Jennings Avenue. The officers entered the residence and found Clyde Bond fatally wounded. He had been stabbed several times.

Victim: “Jane Doe” adult white female Location: 1300 Kuroki Report No: 86087440 On February 24, 1986, patrol officers were dispatched to 1257 E. Magnolia Avenue, on a report that there was a deceased person at that location. The officers found the body of a female lying near a curb at 1300 Kuroki. This location is east of Hillside Park. It was later determined that she had been strangled. This female has not been identified.

Victim: Francisco Puentes, 18 years old Location: 2416 NE 28th St Report No: 86338629 On August 16, 1986, Francisco Puentes and a male friend were in the parking lot at 2416 N.E. 28th Street. Two males walked up to them and, during the course of a robbery, shot both of them. Francisco Puentes died as a result of gunshot wounds.

Victim: Jason Smith, 17 year-old white male Location: 715 E 9th St Report No: 86353704 On July 27, 1986, officers were dispatched to 715 East 9th Street, on a report that there was a person deceased at that location. The officers found the body of Jason Smith lying in the parking lot behind the Owen’s Sausage business. He died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Victim: Oscar Olvera, 28 years old Location: 1100 W Northside Dr Report No: 86460840 On September 27, 1986, Oscar Olvera was found deceased on the street at 1100 W. Northside Drive. It was later detemined that he had been stabbed in the chest.

Victim: Noel Trevino, 25 years old Location: 3000 Loving Report No: 86542769 On November 12, 1986, Noel Trevino was found deceased in a vehicle that was parked at 3000 Loving. It was later determined that he died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head.

Victim: Jaime Trevizo, 25 years old Location: 200 Clinton Report No: 86609341 On December 24, 1986, Jaime Trevizo and his friends were at a bar on North Main Street in Fort Worth. As they were leaving the bar, they observed several males burglarizing their vehicles. Jaime Trevizo chased the males to a cream-colored four-door vehicle, where he began fighting with them. The males pulled Mr. Trevizo into the vehicle and drove away. The body of Jaime Trevizo was later found on the street at 2000 Clinton Avenue. It was later determined that he had been stabbed.

Victim: Michael Myers, 41 year-old white male Location: 1709 S Riverside Dr Report No: 87161476 On April 7, 1987, officers were dispatched to R & L Wrecker Service at 1709 S. Riverside Drive. A person had called the police after finding the body of Michael Myers lying inside the business. It was later determined that he died as a result of gunshot wounds.

Victim: Carol Preslar, 28 years old Location: 6125 Bianca Circle Report No: 88333359 On June 25, 1988, officers were dispatched to the Avignon Apartment complex at 6125 Bianca Circle. They found the body of Carol Preslar in the apartment. She had been strangled. She lived alone in the apartment.

Victim: Priscilla Turner, 38 year-old white female Location: 2900 Rosen Report No: 89528286 On October 6, 1989, patrol officers were dispatched to the residence at 2900 Rosen. The officers entered the house and found the body of Priscilla Turner in the residence. She died as a result of trauma to the head. Priscilla lived alone at the residence. Her 1985 Ford Mustang was missing. On October 7, 1989, her car was seen traveling at 3500 Macie Avenue. The subject who was driving the car crashed into the median at 3500 Macie and escaped on foot while being pursued by the police.

Victim: Mary Till, 27 years old Location: 6200 Baraboo Dr., Dallas Report No: Dallas PD-381545-P On August 17, 1983, Mary Till went out on a date. Mary Till returned to her apartment at 2501 Ivy Brook in Arlington on August 18. Later that morning, she called her workplace in Dallas and told an employee that she would be late for work. She never showed up for work. On January 3, 1984, some hunters found her body in a wooded area near a creek in the 6200 block of Baraboo Dr in Dallas. She died as a result of a gunshot wound. During this period of time, a Homicide Task Force had been established by the Fort Worth Police Department. The bodies of several females had been found in and around Fort Worth. Mary Till’s case was one of the cases that the Homicide Task Force investigated.

1990-1999

Victim: Celestine Broadus, 27 year old black female Location: 2100 Redbud Trail Report No: 90635142 On November 25, 1990, Celestine Rogers was found deceased at a park at 2100 Redbud Trail. She died as a result of blunt force trauma.

Victim: Roslyn Ruben, 52 year old white female Location: 5724 Locke Ave Report No: 91036836 On January 21, 1991, officers were dispatched to a reported robbery at the Roslyn Shoe’s business, 5724 Locke Avenue. They entered the business and found Roslyn Ruben on the floor. She had sustained blunt force trauma to the upper body. Roslyn Ruben was transported to the hospital. She survived her injuries. This case was investigated by the Homicide Unit, due to the nature of the crime and the severity of her injuries.

Victim: Doyle Stanley (53 year old white male) & John Maddox (29 year old white male) Location: 1205 S Henderson Report No: 91316552 On June 17, 1991, Doyle Stanley and John Maddox were found deceased at their residence. They died as a result of blunt force injuries. They lived together at the apartment.

Victim: Kevin Hood, 22 years old Location: 2600 Quail Rd Report No: 91528811 On October 1, 1991, the body of Kevin Hood was found on the side of a road near Lake Arlington. He had apparently been robbed, and his vehicle had been stolen. It was later determined that he had been shot in the head. His vehicle was later found at a service station near the intersection of John T. White Road and E. Loop 820. Kevin Hood was an employee of the Fort Worth Independent School District.	\

Victim: Richard Garcia, 17 year-old hispanic male Location: 1826 May St Report No: 91631068 On November 22, 1991, Richard Garcia was at a party that was being held at the residence at 1826 May Street. He and other individuals were outside the house. A car pulled up to the house. One of the males in the car began arguing with one of the males outside the house. Richard Garcia was shot and killed.

Victim: Ladye Gallaher, 84 years old Location: 3301 Bellaire Dr N Report No: 91688128 Ladye Gallaher was an elderly lady who lived alone at the Bellaire House Condominiums. On December 24, 1991, one of her caretakers found her deceased on her bed. It was later determined that she had been strangled.

Victim: Ginger Ross, 19 years old Location: 7405 Meadowcrest Report No: 92088167 On February 18, 1992, Ginger Ross was found deceased in the living room of her residence. She had been shot several times. She lived at the residence with a relative. There were no apparent signs of forced entry.

Victim: Trina Lane, 23 year-old black female Location: 3700 Craven Report No: 92145495 On March 19, 1992, officers were dispatched to 6001 E. Berry Street. The body of Trina Lane had been found floating in a creek at 3700 Cravens. Trina Lane had been reported missing by her mother on March 11. Her 1989 Ford Tempo was found behind a butcher shop at 4016 Mansfield Highway. It appeared that there had been a struggle inside the vehicle. It was later determined that she had been strangled.

Victim: Rose Fromer, 50 year-old white female Location: 3137 Alta Mere Report No: 92456591 On August 23, 1992, a police officer who was on routine patrol found the body of Rose Fromer lying in the parking lot of the Country Connection night club 3137 Alta Mere. She died as a result of gunshot wounds. Rose Fromer was the owner of the night club.

Victim: Robert Rodriguez, 32 years old Location: 3446 May Report No: 93261548 On May 14, 1993, Robert Rodriguez was at a bar located at 3446 May Street. As he was entering his vehicle to leave, he was shot and killed. There were no signs of robbery as a motive.

Victim: James Hargroves, 46 year old white male Location: 1214 S Jennings Ave Report No: 93498402 On September 3, 1993, James Hargroves was found deceased inside a residence that he shared with two other persons. There were no signs of forced entry; however, evidence of a struggle was apparent inside the residence. Mr. Hargroves was a volunteer for the Fort Worth Area Habitat for Humanity and served meals at a nearby soup kitchen for the homeless, known as Loaves and Fishes. He was a counselor and minister to Fort Worth area homeless people. He was killed during an apparent robbery. He died as a result of blunt force trauma.

Victim: Mary Glassock, 51 year-old white female Location: 4708 Bryce Ave Report No: 93545026 Mary Glasscock owned the Emporium Antiques business located at 4709 Bryce. On September 25, 1993, a friend went to the business and found Mary Glasscock deceased in the building. She died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Victim: Sloane Powell, 27 years old Location: 4344 E Lancaster Report No: 94032452 On December 17, 1994, Sloane Powell was at a convenience store at 4344 E. Lancaster Avenue. As she was leaving the store, she was shot and killed during an apparent robbery. A short time later, a male was shot during a robbery at a nearby apartment complex on Meadowbrook Drive. He survived his injuries. It was later determined that the same firearm was used in both crimes.

Victim: James McVey, 39 years old Location: 6201 Dowdell Report No: 94108501 On February 25, 1994, James McVey was found deceased in the parking lot of a warehouse at 6201 Dowdell. He died as a result of a gunshot wound. His gray Ford pick-up truck was parked nearby. His face had been sprayed with paint, and gang graffiti had been sprayed on his truck.

Victim: Eduardo Lopez, 18 years old Location: 3900 Hemphill Report No: 94298004 Eduardo Lopez was employed by Danal’s Food Store, which was located at 3900 Hemphill Street. On May 29, 1994, a hispanic male entered the store, armed with a handgun. The male directed the manager to the office, where the safe was located. Eduardo Lopez approached the male. Eduardo Lopez was then shot and killed. The male then placed the manager in a storage freezer, and fled the scene.

Victim: Robert Freeman, 17 years old Location: 4621 Miller Ave Report No: 94325644 On June 13, 1994, Robert Freeman was at a pay telephone in front of Julie’s Food Mart at 4621 Miller Avenue when he was shot and killed during an apparent robbery. He resided a few blocks from the convenience store.

Victim: Curtis Roberson, 24 years old Location: 2306 E Berry St Report No: 94402964 On July 22, 1994, Curtis Roberson was inside the Berry Street Detail Shop at 2306 E. Berry Street. Some males armed with guns entered the shop and, during the course of a robbery, shot and killed Curtis Roberson.

Victim: Felicita Olguin, 81 years old Location: 1125 May St Report No: 94433192 On August 6, 1994, Felicita Olguin was found deceased in her residence: 1125 May Street. It was later determined that she had been strangled.

Victim: Richard Hutchinson, 32 years old Location: 3200 Avenue I Report No: 95023794 On January 14, 1995, Richard Hutchinson and his brother were traveling in a blue pick-up truck in the Poly neighborhood on the east side of Fort Worth. A male ran up to the driver’s side of the truck and fired several times toward the truck, shooting and killing Richard Hutchinson. This murder was believed to have been drug-related.

Victim: Ruth Ann Kearns, 56 year-old white female Location: 2700 E Vickery Blvd Report No: 95062027 On February 3, 1995, Ruth Kearns was found deceased near a lot behind a vacant house at 2700 E. Vickery Blvd. She resided about a block away. She died as a result of blunt force trauma.

Victim: Patricia Apodaca, 28 year-old hispanic female Location: 700 NE 28th St Report No: 95316716 On June 18, 1995, the body of Patricia Apocada was found lying in the street in the 700 block of N.E. 28th Street. She had been shot in the chest.

Victim: Patricia Gail Jackson-Lee, 38 year-old black female Location: 500 Precinct Line Rd Report No: 95468137 On September 3, 1995, Ms. Jackson-Lee was found deceased in a vacant field at 500 Precinct Line Road. She had been bound and strangled. She resided on Sanders Drive in Fort Worth.

Victim: Jackie Myers, 32 years old Location: 6509 Plaza Parkway Report No: 95660124 On December 9, 1995, Jackie Myers called 9-1-1 from his apartment at 6509 Plaza Parkway, and stated that he had been stabbed. Patrol officers responded to the scene and found Mr. Myers in the apartment. He had been stabbed. He later died at the hospital. The investigation revealed that Jackie Myers had met the suspect at an adult video store on the west side of Tarrant County.

Victim: Monica Coleman, 22 year-old black female Location: 1029 E Powell Ave Report No: 96698152 Monica Coleman lived alone at her residence. On November 20, 1996, Monica Coleman was found deceased at her residence: 1029 E. Powell. It was later determined that she had been strangled.

Victim: Dorris Turner, 80 year old black male Location: 614 S Freeway Report No: 98283643 Mr. Turner was found dead inside his residence by a friend who came to visit him often. He lived alone in an area frequented by transient persons, and often invited them into his residence. His 1991 red Chevrolet Cavalier had been stolen, and was later found at Glenwood Park in the 900 block of Exeter St. He died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Victim: Edna Rodriguez, 8 years old Location: 3604 Lipscomb Report No: 98417355 On July 11, 1998, Edna Rodriguez was reported missing from her family's residence at 3536 Travis Avenue. She was the subject of an extensive police search. She was found the next day in the driveway of the vacant residence at 3604 Lipscomb. It was later determined that she had been strangled.

Victim: John Mitchell (69 years old) & Mary Mitchell (65 years old) Location: 2204 Hurley Ave Report No: 99237126 On April 14, 1999, officers responded to the residence at 2204 Hurley, on a report of a double-homicide. The officers entered the residence and observed the bodies of John and Mary Mitchell inside the house. Mary and John Mitchell died as a result of blunt force trauma. John and Mary Mitchell lived alone at the residence. In the 1980’s they owned a Rock and Roll club on the south side of Fort Worth. The residence had been ransacked and there were indications of a violent struggle.

Victim: Ezekiel Barraza, 22 years old Location: 1603 NE 28th Report No: 99280928 On May 3, 1999, Ezekiel Barraza, who was also known as “Chico,” was at the Cowboy Cats Club at Main Street and Exchange Avenue. Mr. Barraza then left the club. His body was later found in the parking lot of the El Conejas Club at 1603 N.E. 28th Street. He had been shot in the back.

Victim: Stephanie Borjan, 25 year-old Hispanic female Location: 3345 St Louis Report No: 99647372 On September 28, 1999, Stephanie Borjan went to her parent’s residence at 3345 St. Louis. She was shot and killed as she was about to enter the house. Her children were with her. Her father, who was inside the house, also was shot.

2000-2009

Victim: Concepcion "Connie" Romero, 76 year old hispanic female Location: 4440 Fletcher Ave Report No:00495130 On July 23, 2000, Conception Romero was found deceased in her west Fort Worth home. She died as a result of blunt force trauma. She lived alone at the house.

Victim: Derek Locke, 30 years old Location: 2600 Cobb Park Dr Report No: 01066517 On January 28, 2001, a person found the body of Derek Locke lying on the ground in Cobb Park. His Chevrolet Blazer pick-up truck was parked nearby. It was later determined that he had been shot.

Victim: Stanley Cohen, 51 years old Location: 3401 Miller Report No: 02157448 On March 3, 2002, Stanley Cohen was found deceased inside his place of business, the S&S Auto Parts Store at 3401 Miller Avenue. The business had been ransacked and there were indications of a violent struggle. He died as a result of gunshot wounds. It was apparent that the crime took place shortly after the business had closed that Sunday afternoon. One of the trucks from the business had been stolen, and was later found in the parking lot of the Minyard’s Food Store at the intersection of E. Berry Street and Miller Avenue.

Victim: Duc Tran, 23 years old Location: 5700 E 1st St Report No: 03051118 On May 8, 2003, the body of Duc Tran was found on a bridge at the West Fork of the Trinity River: 5700 E. 1st Street. It was later determined that he died as a result of a gunshot wound. Duc Tran had been reported missing from the city of Arlington.

Victim: Cynthia Miles, 23 year-old black female Location: 2121 Handley Dr Report No: 03053868 On May 14, 2003, Cynthia Miles was discovered deceased inside her apartment at the Regency Apartment Complex. The investigation revealed that Cynthia was probably killed the previous day in front of her two small children, who were still inside the apartment when her body was found.

Victim: L.J. Robinson, 83 years old Location: 5048 Avenue G Report No: 04040106 On April 7, 2004, L.J. Robinson, who was also known as “Pops,” was found deceased in his apartment at 5048 Avenue G. It was later determined that he died as a result of blunt force trauma. The investigation revealed that he had been a victim of an apparent robbery.

Victim: Khamphosey “Kim” Louanlavong, 33 years old Location: 2409 Nottingham Report No: 04087670 On the morning of July 25, 2004, Khamphosey “Kim” Louanlavong was found deceased inside her apartment, which was located in the rear of her family’s residential property. She was last seen alive by her family the previous day. It was later determined that she had been shot.

Victim: Victor Barragan, 18 years old Location: 1720 W Pafford Report No: 05054310 On Sunday, May 8, 2005, Victor Barragan and several of his friends were celebrating the birthday of a friend outside the residence at 1720 W. Pafford. They decided to leave at about 4 a.m. As they were about to enter their vehicles, someone began firing a gun from a field west of their location that’s adjacent to railroad tracks. Victor Barragan was shot and killed.

Victim: Gloria Choice, 47 year old black female Location: 5855 Goldenwood Dr Report No: 05150899 On December 09, 2005, the body of Gloria Choice was found in a vacant apartment in the Willows of Woodhaven Apartment complex at 5855 Goldenwood Dr. She died as a result of blunt force injuries

Victim: Fernando Hernandez, 35 years old Location: 4613 E Lancaster Ave Report No: 06039923 On April 9, 2006, the body of Fernando Hernandez was found lying in the parking lot between a vacant Pep Boy’s building and the Carnival Food Store at 4613 E. Lancaster Avenue. He had been shot once in the chest.

Victim: Gerardo Mena, 24 years old Location: 4050 Hemphill Report No: 06137463 On November 26, 2006, Gerardo Mena was stabbed while he was in the parking lot in front of Ernesto’s Taqueria at 4050 Hemphill Street. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

Victim: Jose Munoz, 39 year old hispanic male Location: 2837 E Rosedale St Report No: 07011943 On January 31, 2007, Jose Munoz was at his business, Munoz Tire & Auto Repair at 2837 E. Rosedale. A hispanic male drove up in a 2002-2003 Red Dodge Ram 1500 4-Door Pickup. The male argued with Jose Munoz over the alleged damage to the rim of a tire. The male shot and killed Jose Munoz. The male then left the scene in the pick-up truck that was being driven by another hispanic male.

Victim: Clinton Miller, 21 year old black male Location: 4721 Forbes Ct Report No: 07038264 On Thursday April 5, 2007, Clinton Miller was shot and killed in the yard of the house located at 4721 Forbes Court. Two suspects fled the scene on foot.

Victim: Reginald Payne, 26 years old Location: 5936 Callaston Lane #1060 Report No: 07088973 On July 29, 2007, Reggie Payne was in an apartment at the Cherry Hill Apartments in the Woodhaven neighborhood of Fort Worth. Some individuals reported hearing a gunshot, and seeing two black males leaving the apartment. It was determined that Reginald Payne died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Victim: Heidi Marie Cummings, 51 years old Location: 3504 Cutter Report No: 07149588 On December 18, 2007, Heidi Cummings was found deceased in her home in the 3500 block of Cutter. The investigation revealed that she may have known her assailant and allowed him or her into the residence.
