Police Officer Physical Resiliency Assessment

The physical resiliency assessment required by the Fort Worth Police Department is designed to measure the police applicant's ability to perform the essential functions of the entry-level police officer trainee. Applicants applying for the rank and/or position of entry level officer who are competing for entry to the City’s full police trainee academy must pass all required events prior to being considered for placement into the Fort Worth Police Academy. Both the components of the assessments and the required passing times/repetitions are based on a detailed analysis of the essential job functions of a Police Officer trainee with the City of Fort Worth, and of the physical abilities necessary to safely perform those functions as determined by a study conducted by Morris and McDaniel Management Consultants.
