Describe role duties and responsibilities at FWPD
Coordinate the Peer Support volunteers of the City of Fort Worth Police Department, create effective programing to provide emotional and tangible support through personal and professional crisis. As well as work in conjunction with the Wellness Officer to seek out and obtain relevant training and certifications in providing effective training. Provide access to resources that promote resiliency and the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and financial wellness of police department employees. Liaise between employees and the internal/external wellness resources. Vet all programming related to Officer wellness before distribution or referral to sworn personnel.
Where did you work prior?
- Previously assigned to the Wellness Officer position tasked with helping create the Wellness Unit.
- Crisis Intervention Team dealing with the public as well as tending to our officers' mental health needs.

Advanced Peace Officer license with the State of Texas
