The Community Policing Forums are conducted to:
- Build a better verbal dialogue between the community and the police department
- Maintain a continuous working relationship and address various concerns of the community
- Allow community groups and residents the opportunity to gather together, hear about the latest projects and programs, and ask questions/give feedback to numerous police officials.
The Diversity Forums are conducted to:
- Make a difference
- Build alliances across differences so we can work together
The concept of diversity encompasses acceptance and respect which is the police department's motto: Service with Respect, Dedicated to Protect.
