SWAT (Special Weapons & Tactics)

The Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) SWAT’s primary function is addressing special threat situations including serving high-risk search and arrest warrants, barricaded suspects, hostage rescue, counter-terrorism, and engaging heavily-armed criminals.

The Fort Worth Police Department SWAT Section executes in excess of 250 tactical operations per year.
