Assistant Chief Charles Ramirez

Assistant Chief Charles Ramirez joined the Fort Worth Police Department in 1991. Upon graduation of the police academy he was assigned to the North Division, as a patrol officer. As he continued his career his assignments included North NPO, Detective East Criminal Investigation Unit. As a Sergeant we was assigned to the South, East and North Divisions he also served as a Sergeant in Traffic Investigation Unit. AC Ramirez promoted to Lieutenant where he was assigned to the Background and Recruiting Unit, he also served as an NPD Commander for the Northside. Ramirez has served as Duty Captain as well as Administrative Captain for the Chief’s Office. Deputy Chief Assignments included Special Services Bureau, Operational Support Bureau and South/East Field Operations. Assistant Chief Ramirez is currently assigned to the Personnel and Finance Bureau. Assistant Chief Ramirez earned his Bachelor’s degree Applied Arts and Sciences from Midwestern State University and his Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Louisville. He is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute’s Administrative Officer’s Course #111th and FBI National Academy #223rd. Assistant Chief Ramirez also attended PERF’s Senior Management Institute for Police and is a veteran of the United States Navy.
