Planning Projects - FY22

Development Grant
Planning Projects provide up to $50,000 over one year for eligible agencies* working with foster care youth, previously incarcerated persons, or “Police/Community Relations.”

Funds can be used to contract with a research consultant to develop the agency’s response to a crime/safety problem. This can include (but not limited to):
     - Developing a plan-of-action to an impact a documented crime/safety problem
     - Researching statistics to identify opportunities for expanding programming
     - Analyzing studies to develop an evidence informed plan-of-action
     - Evaluating existing program measurements for impact on community crime/safety
     - Reviewing other evidence informed programs to compare with current programs
     - Conducting community surveys on a crime/safety problem to identify a plan-of-action

At the conclusion of the grant project, agencies who provide a feasible plan-of-action for a relevant crime/safety problem will be eligible for extra points in scoring a Program Grant application (3-Year/$300,000).

To be considered for funding, agencies must:
     1. Meet the requirements listed in the Funding Announcement
     2. Submit the necessary application information in the ZoomGrants™ online portal
     3. Respond by the due date listed below.
