Capacity Building Projects - FY2022

Development Grant
Capacity Building Projects provide up to $50,000 over one year for eligible agencies* working with foster care youth, previously incarcerated persons, or “Police/Community Relations.”

 Funds can be used to work with a non-profit consultant to enhance the agency’s strengthen capabilities in daily operations. This can include (but not limited to):

     - Developing a fund raising plan  
      - Completing required documents and application for non-profit status  
      - Building the agency’s Board of Directors  
      - Strengthening financial practices  
      - Creating an annual budgeting process  
     - Establishing a 3-5 year strategic plan   
     - Training in grants writing and grants management  
     - Constructing a program evaluation plan  

To be considered for funding, agencies must:
     1. Meet the requirements listed in the Funding Announcement
     2. Submit the necessary application information in the ZoomGrants™ online portal
     3. Respond by the due date listed below.

     Applications Due May 12, 2021 by 11:59 p.m. CST
     Notification of Awards August 2021
     Projected State Date October 1, 2021
