Willie Goodwin

Willie GoodwinWilliam (‘Willie’) Eligio Goodwin was born in Fort Worth and grew up in a small neighborhood on the north side known as “La Loma”, where he currently resides today. During the mid-80s, William attended Trimble Tech High School and then went on to begin an occupation as a skilled iron worker at the JL Steel Corporation. Later, he sought a career as an electrician and obtained his Journeyman Electricians License.

Driven by his continuous desire to excel, Mr. Goodwin became the CEO of CowTown Events Inc., which allowed the opportunity to collaborate on projects with many city officials and prominent local businessmen such as NBC5, Telemundo, Liberman Broadcasting, Fort Worth Star Telegram, Dallas Morning News, General Motors, Miller/Coors INC., and Fort Worth Chapter of the Latino Peace officers Association a non-profit organization. From 2005-2011 through his promotional leadership, he was able to consistently direct the city-wide event known as the Cowtown Cinco De Mayo Event at the heart of downtown. In recognition of his multiple contributions to the community, William and his company were awarded a proclamation from the honorable Mayor Michael J. Moncrief, City of Ft. Worth, in 2009. As a longtime member of the recognized Fort Worth Classic Car Club, he has been involved in numerous outreach programs and Christmas toy drives that strengthen the less fortunate of our community. For the most recent four years, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Texas District 7 Sabine Jarvis Little League, where he is proud to share in the encouragement of morals, values, and teamwork that shape our youth and ultimately prepare them for a positive life journey.

Today we can find William making the best of his blessings as an employee at Texas Christian University. In addition, he is the entrepreneur, owner, and property manager for several real estate ventures in his local neighborhood.

Willie and his wife Esther of 20 years, an investigator, for the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's office, and their four lovely children, which include a set of triplets are active members of the Southside Church of Christ in Ft. Worth. Together, they continue to enjoy exploration and camping in our nations beautiful countryside.
